Redifining Digital Press Release with the Launch of IndiPR.com

The best way to be heard in this digital world is through DIGITAL PR, yes Digital Press Release is a very handy tool for companies to announce their presences or share the latest updates on products or services, it is really economical for this start-up era considering paper press/other mediums. Understanding this need Indiblogger.in ventures into Digital PR wing with their launch of indipr.com domain.

indi_PR_Logo.png

IndiPR.com was built to make it extremely simple for a business to get their Press Releases published by top bloggers. All a business has to do is upload their Press Release and the ‘Automated Influencer Targeting Engine’, or ‘AITE’ for short, proceeds to accept applications and automatically shortlists bloggers based on various factors including internal ratings and rankings. Once shortlisted, the influencers do their research and publish their articles.

Anoop Johnson, Co-founder & Director of Marketing at IndiBlogger, adds, “With a starting budget of just USD 150, a business of any size will be able to get their press releases published by influential bloggers with a few clicks.”

IndiPR.com assists digital marketers with a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, SEO, content marketing, generating awareness and gaining much needed conversations around the product, driven by internet users on influencer platforms like blogs.

One of the main issues that most marketers face when working with influencers is the cumbersome process associated with identifying and targeting each Influencer. Karthik DR, Co-founder & Business Head at IndiBlogger says, “The amount of time that people spend in trying to identify and contact influencers is huge. With IndiPR.com, you don’t have to worry about any of this as the system just needs your Press Release. The rest is history!”

In the future, IndiPR.com will carry more than just Press Releases. Influencers will be able to get creative assignments, get invitations to attend the trendiest launch events and be privy to the latest news on the planet before the world wakes up to it.

Renie Ravin, the Founder and CEO of IndiBlogger, says, “We believe that this system will help Influencers with fresh and new content on their site every day. In a way, you could be writing about the next Google without even realising its immense potential.”

Just another BNLF post

Blogger’s BNLF moment – First Hand

So this was few months back when I got a notification email which read “Get a seat at IndiBlogger’s most disruptive conference” this was Indiblogger’s most ambitious plan yet, wow reading that i could gauge this was going to be a amazing event for bloggers.

BNLF banner

Pre-BNLF Buzz

Back to the BNLF (Blog Now Live Forever) pre-event buzz, bloggers from all corners of India and even abroad were discussing about how things will fall in place regarding ticket booking and stay, however the community of bloggers and Indiblogger team were very supportive to help out through all sort of communications, forum discussion and working out with Stayzilla for the weekend stay part, this bond really speaks volume to how the blogger’s community has evolved through time in India and the active supporter to promote it has been Indiblogger team which somewhere speaks about the committed efforts taking shape slowly and steadily with a strong community of more then 25,000+ bloggers onboard and over 100+ indimeets already and counting.

Indi-Crew Excitement

When Indiblogger team decided to include bloggers to be part of the indi-crew, i wanted to be a part of it and guess what i was chosen in the indi-welcome team, the attempt was to make other bloggers coming from all corners of India beat the blues, make them comfortable and familiar to the BNLF event on the 1st day, rather than making it feel more of a long day conference.

Loading BNLF

Slowly and steadily days seem passing and inching towards 31st October & 1st November, the BNLF event had a different vibe to it which created a buzz in the bloggersphere and boy were we all pumped up and excited (specially the crew ;).

Finally “THE DAY” Arrives

Yes, the day finally came, being in the indi-crew team, members were asked to come early as they were assigned specific tasks, we had brisk breakfast and then we all were given our indi-crew group wise t-shirts, indi-welcome had yellow t-shirt code which we all changed to and were all set to welcome our blogger friends from all over India and abroad.

Registration and INDI-CREW

It was around 10.00am and many bloggers started coming in at the venue, but they were made to wait like passengers who were eager to check in and board the flight of awesomeness, Indi-Police did a good job managing the crowd and made it a point that no one enters the registration desk without further instruction from Indiblogger team, after some time the much anticipated gate opened up and bloggers rushed to the registration desk to get their badges and board the flight of awesomeness which was waiting for them to be discovered in the time to come. I would like to mention that the Indi-hospitality team really managed the rush well and were quite efficient in the registration process.

BNLF Registration

Folks at indi-welcome team did a good job in managing the rush, they spread across and made it a point to have a quick chat and cut the blues with bloggers, smiling, greeting and showing the way, there were some chat sessions also going on (sort of a informal interview) in which many bloggers took part and shared their views on different topics and experiences while coming to BNLF and what it meant to them, other indi-welcome crew members (including me) were running around capturing the moments on our camera to stay for eternity.

Just the Beginning

Bloggers were busy taking selfies with the speakers and friends, chatting within their group and some fresh faces were amused looking around when Anoop (the veteran Host at Indiblogger) popped up on stage and greeted the bloggers, soon after followed by a mesmerizing, house rocking and stage breaking performance by the Indilive band “blunder in the code“.

Session 1 – Blogger turned Speaker Purbha Pay

After the smashing performance, spirit were high and souls were lit up, the line up of session commence with the forever young and witty Purba Ray, she shared a bit about her journey into blogging, blessed with witty and sarcastic humor in a mix of creative writing is the best combination anyone could ask for, I could see fellow bloggers enjoying her venomous humour and could relate to what she said, inspiring indeed.

BACK Stage – The seriously serious bunch of Indicrew

After the session was over, I quickly tried to sneak pass the backstage to get some photos of speakers and ask them about the BNLF experience, but due to intensely guarded back stage by Indi-stage members, they didn’t let me in, I respect the fact that they did their job with so much sanity, kudos to Fizaah, Ruhie, Aditya,Sumit and others in the indi-stage.

Sessions 2 – Aranb Ray

Following up was session by Arnab Ray, a multi facet writer with zest to speak about his mind musing which are quite interesting, author of multiple books named MayI Hebb Your Attention Plis, The Mine, Yatrik and sharing his views with New York Times India Ink, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal Online, Times of India, DNA and Outlook , Arnab shared many insights about creative writing which were well noted.

Sessions 3 – The Story Teller – Christoph Trappe

The next session was of Christoph Trappe, the authentic story teller as he is known, multiple award winner in the field of Content writing marketing, he shared some useful tips and hacks of which some quick pointers are:

  • Story telling with a sense of connecting is the need which lacks in many marketing driven content.
  • The art of simplifying, breaking it into readable content.
  • Maintaining a calendar and organizing content and events helps optimized results and better efficiency.
  • The 60-30-10 formula : 60 – talking – 30 responding- 10 – links
  • Creating Unique stories because they set us apart, they cannot be commoditized.
  • Declaring intent, being more passion driven, sense of what makes us unique.

Are your hungry for networking and fun

After that was lunch break, bloggers were eager to have some good food and network alongside in this 1 hour break, as it turned out there were some interesting activities/try out lined up by Cleartrip like segway , wall climbing, mini golf, super bike for posing with back drop, Harley Davidson bike, which I totally admired and posed for.

I guess the hour long break felt short and bloggers were just all over the place, Anoop and team had to literally drag everyone to the event dome to get the next session started.

GIG TIME with Youtuber – Kanan Gill

Guess what, I saw all the ladies in the house seated as I came after lunch, I was a little perplexed what’s with them? Then I asked someone who the next speaker was, came to know it was Kanan Gill, gosh you could see the sparkle in each one of them, I thought Kanan would be mobbed for sure, but ladies kept their love for Kanan to themselves and admired his entire session with twinkle in their eyes. Kanan’s session was more of a self explanatory of his struggle with himself and how he overcame them with his own formulas of success; it was more of a stand up gig which was crazy and funny at the same time.

Sessions 4 – Social Media optimized with Jeff Bullas

Sessions moved on and it was time for the Forbes listed, top marketing blogger – Jeff Bullas, the Australian swipe the floor away with some ground breaking insights on optimizing content on social media, the creation of good and valuable content and the need for authenticity in each writer to list a few, not to forget his motivational slides about discovering one’s self to set new benchmarks and creating unique content. I would love to list more but it would be too lengthy. I will share the complete details in my upcoming post.

145 141

Sessions 5 – The Never die spirit – Preeti Shenoy

Preeti Shenoy’s session was on the benchmark of how she went pass through all the struggles in her career, the challenges she faced when approaching publishers with her story, the ever hungry attitude to succeed and her amazing and inspiring journey to becoming the best seller in the charts, a very humble personality with a passion to share and grow, was a inspiring session.

147 152

Bruce Dickinson – I leave it up-to you to decide on the subtitle, cause I am short of words

Anoop then came on stage and made us charge up with the trademark hur – hurr – hurrr move, with that done it was time for the moment of truth which each blogger in the house was waiting for eagerly, to sense and feel the moment was for real, Anoop with all his glory voice made a emotional introduction to the Iron Maiden lead vocalist and a truly multi talented entrepreneur Bruce Dickinson, yes you heard it right, the aura that he brought on stage was phenomenal, I loved his simplicity and sense of humanity throughout his presentation about his life journey and learning he shared with all of us, there were few fan star stuck moment between the presentation as well. Learned a new perspective of looking at things and life, the 0+0=1 formula by Bruce Dickinson which is something Ill mention elaborately in my coming posts.

Back Stage Party

The Day didn’t end there, Indiblogger team had something more lined up for us as a token of appreciation, we bloggers were invited to the backstage part too, after an hour break, we assembled at the basement of Lalit Hotel’s ballroom where the mood was set and drinks. Mocktails and cocktails were served, had some good insight talk with all the speakers and enjoyed the company of fellow bloggers with some yummy snacks hovering around to beat hunger.

Day 2 at BNLF

Day two had 2 sessions which were conducted by Christoph Trappe and Jeff Bullas respectively, it was good learning curve with work exercises and one on one interactions, came across common problems faced by bloggers and their solutions by speakers besides that new and trending tools for marketing content overview, discussion and a lot more.

My Takeaway from BNLF

To sum up, had a time of my life, it was fantastic meeting bloggers in person finally, BNLF helped unit bloggers and improve bloggers vocabulary as to say by calling outstanding speakers with their vast knowledge in digital media to share their experiences, gained a lot from the sessions in every aspect of blogging, from writing creatively to marketing and beyond.. Kudos to INDIBLOGGER team for making this happen and wish it continues for the time to come.

2 Minute Poem

This poem is written in response to the 81st IndiSpire prompt:
Write a indispire_170x1102minute poem! Yeah Heard right! An INSTANT 2-minute poem,a simple, sweet, nicely rhyming poem, playing with words, not hard but easy, funny and cool,a relief to your mind, not to grind, but to find,a solace and some peace #My2MinutePoem

I was prompted to write a 2 min Poem,
I was amused at first,
but it was all  dead serious

So, here i am writing my swag
i don’t know where its heading
but i sure know its instant and quick

Thoughts seem to come and go
there is nothing holding on
which i can write over here
with the same flow as i know

I am trying my best to scribble
what i think will make sense
in the middle of this poem

It has been long since i wrote
A poem which doesn’t make any sense
but who cares, its all good till
it rhymes and makes you roll your head

Its seems you are starting to enjoy
but let me tell you it’s all in your mind
first you judge me  from a perspective
but now at the end of this its all blurred
as it’s just a 2-Minute Poem !

LETS DRIVE SAFER IN INDIA

Road safety is a major concern in a country like India, if you read and hear about road mishaps  it will be a sad tale to count as the numbers and statistics do tell the story, we have  developed a habit of let go  attitude when it comes to road safety and other measures related to it, why have we developed such a habit is not entirely our fault, what can we do if no one obeys the rules anyways, it’s contagious and we are human, we learn from our surrounding, thou what I am trying to explain here is, ok fine we have rules and regulations but where is the implementation and government bodies to tighten the screws on law breakers, this gives liberty somewhere to play with the rules and regulation which ends up in road mishaps, accidents, and sometimes fatal one which leads to death.

This is an alarming issue, which if not properly restrained  can led to further fatal road catastrophe because if people are not aware of safety regulations then how will they have the fear and presence of the aftermath of event, careless driving not only put others life on stake but to the one driving as well.

I personally have a car and driving on Mumbai roads is just like understanding rocket science because people don’t consider following rules, they believe it’s their road and they will drive as per their convenience and knowledge without concerning about road safety, pedestrians, basic traffic rules and so forth.

Considering the above concern, some of the safety measures/steps I believe considering my experiences can help in road safety in Indiaseatbelts

Farsen you seat belt front and rare:

Some of us find it uncomfortable, while others just ignore the use of seat belts in India, which I feel is a one of the major reasons of fatal injuries in a accident, atleast if the seat belt is strapped on there are lesser chances of injuries.

No phone usage:phone useage

WE love our gadgets and we use it everywhere on the go, but using the phone to talk , text or check out notifications while driving not only distracts you from the road, but it also puts many life’s on stake, as in India people cross the road from anywhere, and a motor can come from any direction.

Knowing the rules better:traffic_rules

Driving without knowing the proper signals and regulations on road is almost like putting a blind fold on your eyes, as we know the trend in India, no one wants to know the rules we just want our license and after that no one bothers to update themselves to revise the rule book.

Responsible driving –   keeping safe distance:

Keeping a safe distance between your car and the car in fsafe-follow-distanceront of you, thats essential considering there are chances that the person in front could apply sudden break if there is unforeseen danger or if the driver driving the car in front of them are still learning, or some sudden speed limits apply scenario, there are many reasons but the one listed are what I am aware of quite well considering driving in Mumbai roads.

No eating:15-12-2014 19-01-10

I know that it’s a bad habit, which once I also used to have, but now i  somewhere realized that this could lead to accidents, others on road could suffer if my vision is not on the road and I am busy enjoying the burger or pizza while driving my car, especially if the road I am driving is India, which is always unpredictable.

No to distraction

15-12-2014 19-01-39While driving we sometimes do chit chat with  our friends / family / business personnel so that we do not stress out all alone driving, but as we know that this is also a cause of distraction as some talks require your attention and sometimes gestures, this leads to poor handling of car and thus there is a  chance of  accident and a harm to pedestrians around the road.

High beams:

I don’t understand why people in India are so use to high beam, we have street lights and if not we can work on low beams on most of the roads, but no we like the complete vision on road, in some states in India I have heard that high beam is not allowed and there is a protective film on the lamp of cars so that it does not produce high beam consider there were so many mishaps on road due to the high beam.

The above were some of the pointer I believe can help drivers be on the safer side and help in causing fewer accidents if followed properly in India, this post is part of my entry towards The Nissan Safety Driving Forum.

Top 10 Resolution for 2015

As we are preparing ourself to say goodbye to a year and welcome another, there is always a happiness which awaits for the celebration of New Year and the expectations to excel better in what we are doing, its a wonderful feeling.

So on that front accepting Indiblogger’s Indispire prompt of the week for the 42nd edition to write on  “things you want to dump this year and start fresh next year“, sharing my list of top 10  things I want to better or start off again in the coming year, the list is randomly placed and its just top 10, however there are much more 🙂

1) Learning : Learn a new language, could be anyone from German, French, Italian, Chinese and so on, which I couldn’t learn last year.

2) Passion : To give more time to my passion like blog, photography, graphic designing and sports.

3) Holiday : To go on a long vacation abroad with friends, it didn’t work out this year.

4) Healthy: Try to be a little more health conscious and avoid junk food and hit the gym more often.

5) Cleanliness : Try to keep my surrounding more clean apart from my room and home, keep my work place tidy, volunteer with society and city cleanliness drive and spread awareness about the same, as this is appeal of time and some good initiatives going across the nation such as the  NDTV Dettol Banega Swachh India” campaign with government driven cleanliness  march across India of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, so yes !

6) Understanding: Try to be more productive in my approach towards gaining new opportunities and learning.

7) Stay FIT: To be more active physically, as our life these days have turn into auto mode after so much advancement in technology, there is Internet for both entertainment and business, TV and gaming console for entertainment and sports 😛  and car for commute, no activity at all, makes me dull physically.

8) Volunteer: Helping people in whatever way I can, like be it physically, financially, counseling or other ways. It feels good in giving back to the society because all we are is what they made us somewhere.

9) Reading: To develop a habit to read more books such as novels, literature and more of our rich Indian history, it’s so delightful to have your “my time” with a cup of chai / coffee and a book of your choice.

10) SAY NO: “Why take the load when you can say no” which i am trying to adopt and will continue to work on  in the coming year.

This post is part of Indibogger Indispire writing on the topic of 42nd Issue.
