App Banking with Axis Bank

I am talking about 10 years back, few things which came to my mind when dad used to say beta lets go to the bank, it sound boring, lethargic and you knew the reason why your dad is taking you to the bank, basically it was less of a learning experience and more of a standing in the Q experience.

Well banking has turned tables surprising when it comes to adopting new and secure technology and constantly updating themselves with time, in the prominent list of adaptability with cutting edge technology comes the name of a familiar and growth oriented AXIS Bank.

Axis bank to what I know  as a customer have always adopted according to the customer behavior time and time again, to add to the list they recently updated their app on mobiles with compatibility to every smart phone OS that includes Andriod, Apple, windows, blackberry.

To give a brief about their updated app and super cool features Axis Bank decided to have chai pe charcha session with bloggers from Blogadda portal, sounds very boring doesn’t it, however it was not the case as the host Mr. Parminder Panesar – Head – Media relations at Axis Bank made us feel at home (almost) with his casual chats yet precisely pointed features of the app that I shall brief below, some of the feature which really got my attention and  other banking app still need to work on:

 1) Registration:

The app registration is almost like a piece of cake, convenient and hassle free, there are 3 options to choose from:

A) If you know your debit card details, you can register OR

B) Net Banking Credentials will work too

 2) Securely yours:

* You can only register one account per device at a time and that too your register sim card needs to be in the device, which I feel is a very secure oriented feature and this will help in keeping phishing off bay.

* A good feature in regards to security is even if your phone is idle for 5 minutes the app automatically logs off, considering that the user might not have the phone with him, I am impressed -details so minimal yet a possible threat is worked upon at Axis Bank.

* Setting the transfer limit, for the 1st time app download OR New registration, a limit is set to 30,000.00 which can be changed from a week time considering security reasons, and after that you can change and set your transaction limited upto 10,00,000.00.

3) Easy Login:

No need to add in login credentials and password, with Axis bank’s app you just need to remember your MPIN which is generated at the time of registration, so now you banking details are just 6 digits away isn’t the cool.

 4) Convenience to the customer:

 A) Don’t you hate it when you login in to your account after putting in login id and password, then go and find account details, under that find current balance and finally after a good 2 minute struggle you get your own bank balance, but with the axis bank app, balance is just right in front of you after you login with your MPIN, just hardly takes 5 seconds.

 B) Amount transfers were never so easy:

* Instant beneficiary’s addition, well you can transfer money to other Axis bank or other non Axis bank transfers within minutes.

* The best part is if you are transferring to other Axis bank account, you just require the account holders registered number with the bank  and that’s it beneficiary added.

 * If you are transferring to non axis bank account, you only require the account holders a/c no and ifsc code isn’t that convenient compared to the sluggish form filling and waiting for a good 8 to 48 Hrs to get you beneficiary added before you can transfer funds.

* Bill payments:

Large variety of bundled services for bill payment, telephones, cards, charity, DTH, Electricity, GAS etc. So now paying bill on the move just got dearer.

 5) Edge Rewards point’s redemption on app:

One more handy feature is loyalty points redeem through your Axis bank app, what’s more your points instantly gets approved and you receive the coupons in just minutes, being said that the app also has a feature through which it can locate the nearest offers according to the category chosen.

There are many other features such as:

 *New Cheque book request
*Statement
*Cheque status and stop
*E-statement request / email registration
*Add beneficiary to favorites, once you have done a transfer, that so convenient on the go, just put in the amount and the transaction is done.

That’s all in terms of the app, and they are still upgrading the app to better suit customer s requirement and the transformation is always on said Mr. Parminder.

Had a wonderful time interacting with the staff of Axis bank as well as some fellow bloggers.

On meeting a Stranger

When someone approaches a stranger, the vortex of thoughts strangle them to a limit!

Sharing a perspective:

I am a stranger trying hard

to understand the impossible

trying hard to know what is

and what’s not acceptable

You may want to trust me but

it’s hard to predict what you think

I am a stranger trying hard

to understand the feeling

When I thought I knew things

i was pulled back to eternity

just made me realize it’s a

deeper sea level of feelings

How strange is life in a way?

you don’t know how to judge things

even though you are trying hard

it just keeps on reflecting

He closed his eyes again as the ACP walked in and stood in front of him for the next few minutes all he could hear was laughter of a couple of men and he could guess what was coming next.

As the ACP came to the cell where Cyrus was, he was little confused what was the ACP going to interrogate now, as he was totally scrutinized from all sort of ways and angles possible by the in-charge inspector.

ACP entered the cell and spoke in a stern voice: “Cyrus try to recall the event, the case is at a crucial stage and many lives are at stake”, he added.

Cyrus in a tired voice: Sir, I understand the situation knowing many lives are at stake and I have repeated this a hundred times while I was interrogated by your inspector that I was totally unconscious and unaware of the situation and I would have given you the scenario and helped you in all ways possible if I even had a clue on what happened that day. Being a responsible lawyer and citizen I will never take law in my hands and try to help the police.

One of the constables came and disrupted the talk between ACP and Cyrus saying: “Sir, we have someone here who wants to meet Cyrus”.  ACP told constable: Tell them that they cannot meet Cyrus as he is not allowed to interact.

Cyrus was frustrated after hearing this from the ACP and pleaded him to at-least allow him to speak on phone, but the ACP interrupted saying that we cannot allow you to talk as it is treated as influencing and tampering evidence. As ACP was about the leave the cell, Cyrus recalled something and asked the ACP to wait.

As Cyrus started to recall some of the situations he could remember, he fainted flat on the concrete ground and was unconscious. ACP shouted loud for ambulance help to be the constables.

After a brief spell of attempts by the ACP to awake him to consciousness nothing seemed to work, even a few sprinkles of water on his face was to no avail.  Till the time the ambulance came and the support staff had to take him to the hospital.

ACP was worried about Cyrus’s health, as he wanted to know what Cyrus remembered which he wanted to tell him.

ACP asked the doctor about Cyrus’s Health, the doctor said that he is still under observation and the coming few hours will be crucial as they were suspected brain nerves dysfunction.

Got stuck – A tale

And it was suppose to be the day which was going to change many things in Anil’s Life, yes you heard it many things, but what happens when you miss that important day because you get stuck! Sharing with you a tale which you have to read it to believe it!

Anil was a marketing executive at a firm who was struggling to meet ends and wanted to change his job, he was having a good 8 years experience and he thought this was the right time to hit iron, so he gave some interviews here and there, finally from one of the firm he  got a phone call early on a Monday morning stating that he had cleared the stages of the group discussions  and on Wednesday he was suppose to attend the final stage of the interview, which was the One on One with HR and the boss !

Anil was all excited and started preparing himself for the big opportunity and turning point of his life! Trying to quick fix his accent and presentation overall, moreover, he called up his close buddy Rakesh to give him some tips about how to be more confident and smarter while facing the HR and the boss, about Rakesh, well he was in a good post at a Bank and was earning a fortune! To get some good luck Anil even posted about the interview in social network status and tried to earn some tips and wishes online, this really helped Anil crack the blues!

So, It was a glorious Wednesday morning and Anil was in mix emotions – happy, tensed, excited, worried all at the same time! The phone rang and it was a reminder that he was not suppose to get late for the meeting or else the opportunity will not come again!  This made Anil panic, still holding his nerves Anil started preparing himself …

Anil went on to take a shower and get ready, while Anil was busy singing and dancing in the shower, his cousin unknowing closed the bathroom door from outside and left for some work considering that Anil was out already.

After the singing and dancing was over and when Anil tried to open the door it was not opening, he cried for help but no one was there at the house to help him! He was cursing his cousin for this blunder!

The Phone started ringing again and Anil’s heart was pumping knowing that it was the dreaded call from the reception reminding him that it was time for the interview! Anil couldn’t believe the scenario and never would he have thought that such a thing could happen at such a critical moment!

Anil tried his best to do all sorts of possible things to open the door, but it was stuck and not giving any hope to Anil, after some time the phone again rang.. It kept on ringing and ringing till someone picked up! Anil was shouting again; help! Help! Someone open this door, I am stuck, finally his cousin opened that door after having the conversation on the phone! Anil was furious at his cousin and gave him a good firing, after all the episode he asked his cousin what the receptionist say over the phone! His cousin in melodrama style said: bro, it’s all over!  Anil was so angry and was about to kill his cousin if he didn’t utter what was the conversation all about!

Finally, his cousin spoke and said: “ Bro shit I am sorry that I unknowingly closed the bathroom door and it lead to such a catastrophe ! As per the conversation with the receptionist, she told that the meeting … the very meeting which was today …. Pause ……… has been postponed until Friday! Anil in disbelieve slapped his cousin and said :”stop it ! Tell me what did she say … and his cousin was like bro, I am serious and he hugged him! The rest is history … 🙂
